Sister Michelle’s journey is a heartfelt testament to the transforming power of surrendering to God. She remembers a time when her life was all about her own ambitions. Whether it was her career, relationships, or personal achievements, she was focused on her goals and how to elevate herself. Yet, despite her outward success, she often felt empty and unfulfilled.

A turning point came during a quiet moment of reflection after hearing a sermon based on John 3:30: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Those words stayed with her, challenging her to rethink everything. She began to realise that her pursuit of recognition and control was keeping her from fully trusting God.

Michelle began praying for God to guide her steps and help her let go of her need to be at the centre. As she did, she noticed a profound shift. Her priorities changed—she found joy in serving others, listening more, and placing her trust in God’s plans. Doors opened that she had never considered, and her heart felt lighter, filled with peace and purpose.

Looking back, Michelle shares, “The less I tried to make it about me, the more I saw God’s hand in my life. His strength truly is made perfect in my weakness.” Today, her testimony is a beautiful reminder that when we let Christ increase in our lives, we discover a joy and fulfilment we could never achieve on our own.
